Unhide your Copy 1 Layer and make it active.Įffects/Reflection Effects/Kaleidoscope and use these settings: Selections/Invert and hit delete one time. Using your magic wand select the inside of hole in your picture. *Delete the empty Raster 2 layer you created. *You should now have an image very similar to the one two images below. You may have to try this a couple of times to get it right. You can use your mover tool to reposition the images on Raster 1 and Copy 1 layers if needed to help center your circle in the two images. *Select Raster 1 layer and hit delete one time (should now be a hole where your selection was). Stay inside of outside ring from the Kaleidoscope layer so it's approximately the size of the picture 2 images below. *Change your selection tool to circle and draw a circle in the center of the frame. *Right click on Raster 1 layer, New Raster Layer, and select Raster 2 layer. H = 0 V = -10 Size = 75 Strength = 100 and apply *Select Raster 1 layer and apply a warp filter - Effects/Distortion Effects/Warp with these settings: *Select Copy 1 layer and apply Kaleidoscope settings as below. *Alternate method without Filters Unlimited - Make Raster 1 and Copy 1 Layers visible. Open Filters Unlimited and choose Distortion Filters in the left pane and Black Hole in the right pane and apply these settings: Size = 102 Make sure your Raster 1 layer is selected. There should now be red X's on those two layers with only layer 1 visible. Hide the copy 1 and copy 2 layers by clicking on the eye to the right of each layer. You should now have three layers with the same image. Rename the first copy "copy 1" and the second copy "copy 2". Right click in your layer pane and choose duplicate layer 2 times. Shift D to duplicate and close your original. You will also need a font of your choosing. We will be working with many individual layers for easy manipulation and placement of our tubes. ++++see alternate method below without using this filter ++++ The demo version does not allow you to apply settings. You will also need Filters Unlimited which is a plug-in that you can use with your graphics program. I don't know where I got the tube I used so if anyone knows, please let me know so I can give the proper credit for them.

You can download a trial version of Paint Shop Pro from JASC. I use Version 8.10, but I am sure it will work in other versions as well. In this tutorial, I will assume that you have a basic working knowledge of PSP, and it is made for upper level beginners with plug-in experience or intermediate skill levels. The skills that you will learn here are your own, and I hope that you will find them useful. If it bears any resemblance to another tutorial on the net, it is pure coincidence. This tutorial was created on February 22, 2004. Hobbies, Awards, Inspirations, and much more.
